Almost two years ago, we started this song based off just the chorus that you’ll hear in this song that @jordfully came up with. It was this string that you could follow almost anywhere. A lead that could end up being anything. Life was a lot different back then, big things have happened since. In both our lives, change has been prominent. And I won’t give you the whole “the song changed with life” thing because it didn’t. Our vision for the song remained the same.

It was always meant to feel and sound like a hopeful track that served as a pat on the back to help you get back up and on track. The song became this comfortable, safe space in which we found out a lot about each other and ourselves. It’s an emotion in a melody that paints a lot of things. The places, the people, the feelings. This song is a letter addressed to places (albeit mental) that always stay familiar regardless of time and circumstance. It has always been and will be an ode to the people who have either been there, used to be there but aren’t anymore, or will always be there to break a fall. To hold a hand, to ease the pain. It’s about feeling hopeless in the best of times and hopeful in the worst. It’s a song of hope, in the midst of chaos.

The world as it is now needs hope. It needs a lot more than a song or two. It needs healing. It needs to learn. It needs comfort and peace. This is our very little contribution towards it. We can’t heal or fix the world so we have tried to hold your hand through the dark. Even if it’s for four minutes, we have put our hearts and souls into it for almost two years. Home, yours now.
